10 top concerts happening in Detroit in 2025

Here’s a glance at some of the big shows awaiting when Detroit venues get loud again in 2025.

Nicki Minaj has been sued for allegedly slapping her manager and threatening to derail his career during a concert in Detroit at Little Caesars Arena. According to TMZ, the Detroit police have requested a warrant from the Wayne County Prosecutor’s office, which could issue criminal charges against Minaj in Detroit.

According to the court documents, which first surfaced by TMZ on Saturday, Brandon Garrett, a manager working for Minaj, filed a lawsuit against the 42-year-old rapper in Los Angeles on Friday.

In the lawsuit, Garrett accuses Minaj of berating and slapping him after a confrontation backstage in Detroit. The disagreement came after Minaj had played her Detroit show on the Pink Friday 2 World Tour on April 20. According to the lawsuit, there was a disagreement over prescription medications. Minaj became upset that Garrett, the plaintiff, once had someone else pick up her medication from a pharmacy.

“Are you (expletive) crazy having him pick up my prescription? … You will never be anyone, I’ll make sure of it,” the lawsuit alleges Minaj said before allegedly hitting Garrett with an open hand, knocking his hat off.

Garrett then hid in a bathroom in Little Caesars Arena for “hours” and was left off the tour bus and stranded in Detroit, according to the lawsuit.

Garrett is seeking damages from Minaj with the lawsuit, which accuses Minaj of assault, battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
