Kate Middleton has delighted royal fans by sharing one of Prince Louis’ favourite songs and it is just too cute.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are back from their trip to Ireland but they are still on duty. Yesterday, Catherine hosted a fabulous reception at Buckingham Palace to celebrate the 25th anniversary of youth mental health charity Place2Be and got chatting about her youngest child.
Children from New North Academy in Islington and Salusbury Primary School in North West London met with Kate and even prepared an original song for the future queen consort. According to Hello, Kate was absolutely thrilled saying:
“You’ve written it especially for tonight? Thank you so much! What a treat for me.”
The royal mum later found out that it was two of the children’s birthdays and she joked that she should have sang them a song instead. She then informed the children that Happy Birthday is one of Prince Louis’ favourite songs.
How adorable!
The little prince will be turning two on April 23 so we are sure he will here several renditions of the tune then. It is lovely to see babies grow into toddlers and see their personality blossom. Prince Louis seems to be growing so fast, it wasn’t long ago that mum Kate was telling everyone about his first words.

Kate later made a heartfelt and emotional speech (even though she said that the children were a hard act to follow) about what the charity means to her.
The Duchess has been a patron for Plan2Be since 2013 and has always been a passionate advocate for children’s mental health and early childhood development.
“You taught me, right from the start, that the children in your schools are only as happy and emotionally strong as the adults in their care. […] You also taught me that it’s the simplest things that make a difference to children. It’s the quality time that is spent with them. It’s the time you take to listen to them. It is trusting relationships that have the most profound impact on the emotional and mental wellbeing of a child.”

We just love hearing about Prince Louis, he is definitely kept out of the spotlight more than his siblings. It is also lovely to see how caring and compassionate Catherine is towards children, she is such a natural.
