The Princess of Wales is absolutely adored by her three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, according to a royal source. Along with many other mothers up and down the country, Princess Kate, 43, will likely be doted on by Prince William and their children in honour of Mother’s Day today.

Speaking to OK!, former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond shared that, due to the royal’s cancer diagnosis last year, this Mother’s Day will likely be “extra special” for the whole family.

Speaking during her early days as a mum-of-three in 2018, a royal source shared that George, 11, Charlotte, 9, and Louis, 6, were always excited to see their mum when she returned from royal duties.

As reported by ELLE, the source shared that George, Charlotte and Louis adore Kate, adding, “she’s got a lovely instinct”.

The source added: “[George and Charlotte would always] come running out the front door and they’re like, ‘Mummy, mummy, mummy,'”

“Nanny’s in the door, but they don’t care because Mummy’s come home. They’re so excited that their mum is back from wherever.”

Known to be a hands-on parents, the Prince and Princess of Wales reportedly alternate taking their children to school – and ensure that family is their ultimate priority.

Princess Kate previously spoke about the impact that she wished to have on her children – revealing that she always reminds them that “hugs are very important”.

The royal previously said, “My parents taught me about the importance of qualities like kindness, respect, and honesty, and I realize how central values like these have been to me throughout my life.

“That is why William and I want to teach our little children, George and Charlotte, just how important these things are as they grow up. In my view, it is just as important as excelling at maths or sport.”
