If you’re looking for a statement pair of earrings, then you could take inspiration from one of the most stylish members of the Royal Family: The Princess of Wales. Her gorgeous cluster pearl earrings have caught our attention.

Over the years, we’ve seen Kate, 43, step out in dazzling jewellery, but a firm favourite in her collection is the Cassandra Goad Cavolfiore Earrings. It has been reported that she has worn these more than any other earrings in her possession.

Kate’s earrings retail for a whopping £5,620 and are made from 18ct yellow gold. The design features pearl and diamond clusters which are said to be inspired by baskets of fruit. We’ve found some affordable alternatives inspired by the look from royal-approved brands, including Monica Vinader and Missoma so you can recreate her regal look on a budget.

We’d say this striking pair make as much as a statement as Kate’s earrings. Made up of a trio of pearl-studded gold-tone flowers, with a large faux pearl pendant, they’re an affordable option that will elevate any outfit. We think they would look great with a matching gold clutch if you are heading on a night out.

If you prefer hoops to studs – Kate has worn many hooped pearl pairs over the years – try these chunky ones from Oliver Bonas’ reasonably priced jewellery range. The cluster of faux pearls with gold-tone metal keeps them reminiscent of the Cassandra Goad pair.

For something a lot more subtle, try these tiny studs. The cluster of three freshwater pearls is set in a 9ct yellow gold. At only 7mm by 6.5mm, they’re ideal if you like the look of pearls yet prefer your earrings understated. These are in the H.S. Samuel clearance sale and currently have £50 off, reduced from £119.

We love these earrings by Bristol-based jeweller Hermione Harbutt. This cluster of six freshwater pearls create a similar aesthetic to Kate’s earrings. You can also detach the group of five pearls and just wear the top stud as a pair, make them a versatile set for every day as well as occasions. Choose from gold or silver.

Here’s another smaller pair, featuring a row of three pearls set in 18-carat gold vermeil on sterling silver. At a petite 4.8mm by 8mm, these from Missoma, a brand regularly worn by Princess Kate, are ideal for smaller lobes or those with multiple piercings who want to add pearls to their stack. Pair with a pearl necklace for more of a statement look.

Simple pearl studs are classics. These 18-carat gold vermeil stud earrings from Monica Vinader are another great choice if you’re looking for a more understated look. These are small so also work well paired with other earrings.
