The Duchess of Sussex has said she suffered medical complications after childbirth, on a podcast marking the launch of her new lifestyle brand.

    On the first episode of Confessions of a Female Founder, Meghan revealed that she had been diagnosed with pre-eclampsia after the birth of one of her children.

    Pre-eclampsia is a common complication during pregnancy which causes high blood pressure and can in the most serious cases lead to seizure, stroke, multiple organ failure and even the deaths of the mother and child.
