Meghan Markle’s latest venture definitely hasn’t gotten off to a flying start as the Duchess of Sussex’s new podcast has fallen off the charts both in the US and the UK.

The mum-of-two recently launched her Confessions of a Female Founder podcast, but despite just being three episodes in, the project isn’t proving to be a success for her. It dropped from Spotify’s 100 list both in the US and the UK, and failed to make it to Apple’s Top 200 chart.

A show called Sleep Cove, helping people with sleep, meditation, and sleep hypnosis proved to be more popular among British listeners, placing 79th on Spotify’s UK chart.

It has been reported that Meghan reached out to A-listers such as Beyoncé and Taylor Swift to come on as guests in hopes of gaining more traction, though none of the famous faces in question have agreed.

A source told MailOnline: ‘No one’s picking up the phone… The show is not landing. There’s no Taylor Swift. No Beyoncé. Not even a Hailey Bieber. And when you’re pitching female empowerment, that’s a problem. It speaks volumes for her pulling power. She’s not happy about her lack of appeal.’

Instead, Meghan has brought on fellow powerful women to chat about all things business. The debut episode saw the 43-year-old chat with Bumble founder Whitney Wolfe Herd.

Founder of Girls Who Code, Reshma Saujani, was the guest for the second episode, while Meghan had her close friend, hair colourist, Kadi Lee, whose business she invests in, on the third episode.

Meghan opened up about issues she encountered with trademarking her lifestyle brand As Ever. ‘I had secured As Ever as a name in 2022, and then as everything started to evolve last year, and bringing in a partner the size that it was, and it was just so interesting,’ she explained.

‘Because you remember, I said, ‘I like American Riviera as an umbrella,’ and then be able to have verticals beneath it. And maybe have the ‘Orchard’ really small. But when that’s not feasible… suddenly it became this word salad. I didn’t love that so much.’

‘I was like, ‘OK, well let’s go back to the thing that I’ve always loved. Let’s use the name that I protected for a reason that had been sort of under wraps.’ So, As Ever was born.
