To mark World Cancer Day, which occurs each year on February 4, Kate Middleton shared a message honoring the event with her followers on social media—and also shared an image captured by her six-year-old son, Prince Louis. In a frosty winter woodland setting, the Princess of Wales can be seen extending her arms outward, while bundled up in a hat, coat, and gloves. “Don’t forget to nurture all that which lies beyond the disease,” the princess wrote, signing off with a simple “C” for Catherine.

Middleton’s decision to publicly observe World Cancer Day comes just a few weeks after she announced that she was in remission from cancer herself. On January 14, the princess shared the news with a heartfelt message that reiterated her positive mindset. “As anyone who has experienced a cancer diagnosis will know, it takes time to adjust to a new normal. I am however looking forward to a fulfilling year ahead,” she wrote. That same day, she paid a visit to the Royal Marsden Hospital in west London, where Middleton had received treatment following her cancer diagnosis in March 2024.
