Daily Express columnist Carole Malone took aim at Meghan Markle’s work ethic over the comments she made during an appearance on The Jamie Kern Lima Show. The Duchess of Sussex opened up about her busy schedule and the different projects she was juggling, prompting a debate about the hardest-working royal on GB News’s Patrick Christys Tonight.

Speaking to the host, Malone fumed: “That makes me so angry. She talks like she’s a one-woman band. She’s working for Netflix with teams and teams of people. She’s not editing scripts. She’s not editing what’s going to happen the next day. Other people are putting that in place. She won’t even organise her own clothes, everything is organised for her. That is not hard work. Hard work is getting up in the morning, being at a factory or a shop by 7am, and working 10 hours on your feet. Coming home knackered. That’s not what she’s doing.”

The columnist added: “This woman is a born manipulator. The whole Netflix thing. She doesn’t do the work.

“She doesn’t make the jams, it’s all made for her. And she’s got the plug in there saying: ‘We sold out.’ They didn’t sell it. They hardly even put it out. Disgrace.”

Meghan’s current ventures include a Netflix show, With Love, Meghan, her podcast titled Confessions of a Female Founder, and lifestyle brand As Ever, which proved wildly successful after the first batch of products sold out in 45 minutes.

As she listed her ventures, Meghan added: “And being a mum, a wife, a friend. Those are all jobs.

“I mean, I love being that busy, but I do think it’s really interesting when people have no sense of what goes into the thing,” she added.

This comes just days after a row reignited over Meghan and Prince Harry’s use of their HRH titles, which they retained after stepping down from their royal duties but agreed not to use.

However, in the photo of a gift hamper that the Duchess had given Jamie, there was also a note that read: “With the compliments of HRH, Duchess of Sussex.”

After sparking a backlash, a spokesperson from the Office of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex told the Daily Express: “Harry and Meghan retain their HRH titles; however, by agreement, they do not use them for commercial purposes.”

“As Jamie notes in her teaser, she has had the jam for over a year, indicating that the photo and gift are not recent. While they do not publicly use ‘HRH’, this was a personal gift, and their titles remain. This context should be accurately reflected in coverage.”
