Meghan first wore the jumper back in February in a video she posted on her social media, during which she opened a special gift donated by singer Billie Eilish for a family whose home was burned by the Los Angeles wildfires.

It’s sold by a female-owned Chicago brand, Club Chainstitch, which sells personalised apparel stitched on a vintage chain stitch embroidery machine.

The duchess’s top is the simple unisex adult chainstitch sweatshirt in black, which retails for £58.

The brand said on its website: “Our best selling sweatshirt in black, personalized just for you!

“Made of super comfy ringspun cotton with your choice of vintage-style chainstitch lettering. The perfect cozy(sic) gift for yourself or someone you love.”
