    The Success of Sussex, 43, opened up about the subtle messages she sends through her wardrobe to support small businesses during a Monday, April 28, episode of “The Jamie Kern Lima Show” podcast.

    During the episode, Lima, 47, asked Meghan how she felt about the “Meghan effect” she has on fashion.

    Meghan replied that she loves her influence on fashion, sharing it felt “really great when specifically, it can help uplift brands that have a great ethos and female founders.”

    She continued, “There was a long time where I wasn’t out talking. So if you couldn’t hear me, how could I be heard through what I was wearing if that was what people were focusing on?” She added that she didn’t have to “say a word,” but instead let her outfits speak for itself and help “small companies” expand their products.

    “[They] would take women out of positions of being trafficked and instead give them jobs,” Markle replied, sharing she wore a pair of their skinny jeans during a 2018 trip to Australia with Prince Harry. “By wearing those jeans, I knew it was going to allow them to save more women,” she proudly said.
