Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been at the centre of a media storm since the Duke of Sussex’s bombshell interview aired on Friday – and now the Royal Family are said to be hoping for “no distractions”

Meghan Markle’s latest move, taken just hours after Prince Harry’s explosive interview, have been labelled a “giant f*** you” by royal insiders. Harry caused uproar with his lengthy interview on Friday in response to losing a Court of Appeal challenge over his security arrangements while in the UK.
The Duke of Sussex, who appeared emotional and close to tears during much of the sit-down chat, described his court defeat as a “good old-fashioned establishment stitch-up” and said he still holds hopes of a reconciliation with his family.
However, Harry’s choice to speak out seems to have further damaged the prospects of ending his estrangement, with suggestions that the King, who is still undergoing cancer treatment, and the Prince of Wales will be more concerned than ever that any discussion with the duke would become public knowledge.
Following the bombshell interview, Harry’s wife, Meghan, posted a photo of her husband with their children on Instagram. The monochrome picture depicts Harry holding Archie’s hand and carrying Lilibet on his shoulders in a garden.

She left the picture uncaptioned, which has been seen as a sign of support for her husband, reports the Mirror.
According to the Daily Mail, Meghan’s latest move elicited a response from one insider who told royal correspondent Rebecca English: “Well that’s a rather giant f*** you, isn’t it?”
She added: “That’s the one thing the Duchess of Sussex does have in common with the Royal Family: knowing the power of a well-timed image.”
As the Royal Family prepares for the 80th anniversary celebrations of VE Day on Thursday, they hope that “nothing will detract or distract” from the event following the interview.

The King and Queen are said to be “looking forward” to the commemorations, which are scheduled just days after Harry revealed to the BBC that his father was not speaking to him and expressed uncertainty about how much longer the King would live.
However, it is understood that Buckingham Palace hopes that out of respect for the surviving veterans, “nothing will detract or distract from celebrating with full cheer and proud hearts that precious victory and those brave souls, on this most special and poignant of anniversaries”.
The King and Queen will lead the nation in unity with the Prince and Princess of Wales and other members of the Royal Family this week, with events kicking off on today with a military procession through central London.
A Palace aide shared on Sunday: “The King, Queen and other members of the royal family are much looking forward to all the week’s VE Day events, when they will unite with the rest of the nation and those across the Commonwealth and wider world in celebrating, commemorating and giving thanks to the wartime generation whose selfless devotion to duty and service should stand as an enduring example to us all – and must never be forgotten.”
The Royal Family, including the King and Queen, are set to grace the palace balcony to witness the RAF flypast before hosting a tea party for veterans and members of the Second World War generation.
Charles and Camilla, along with other royals, will be present at a Thanksgiving service at Westminster Abbey on Thursday to commemorate the anniversary.
Later in the evening, the royal couple will attend a celebratory concert at Horse Guards Parade.
