Why Ben Affleck Has “a Lot of Empathy” For Britney Spears | E! News

I really had a lot of empathy for Britney Spears. Ben Affleck is getting candid about life in the spotlight. During an appearance on Theo Vaughn’s podcast this past weekend, the actress shares how intense the paparazzi can be and how he specifically felt bad for how Britney Spears was treated during the 2000s. Years and years ago, like I really had a lot of empathy for Britney Spears because I remember that it seemed like it’s not somebody that I I knew or hung out with, but I just like everybody else. you see all this that comes through and I but having had my own experiences myself I knew like these are people are following her around in a time where she may or may not have been having difficulty. I don’t know cuz I don’t know her but I do know that the the cycle of having people herang you and yell at you and hassle you and follow you. It kind of seemed like that itself was kind of whipping up the whole thing into its tizzy. Bang goes on to say that while viewers only see the negative reaction of the celebrity, what they’re missing is the paparazzi quote poking a stick to get that reaction. What’s taken out of the image that you see are the people around, you know, waving the stick at the tiger or poking on it or whatever. Um, and all you see is the the growling animal or whatever it is. Um, but like that a part of that is because somebody’s coming around and, you know, hitting on it or whatever to make it get active. And that’s where you think, okay, well, this isn’t really news. It’s not even real. It’s not what would be happening if this effect wasn’t taking place. And and that’s where I thought, okay, you know, the the sort of wise thing to do is to just sort of like maintain one’s perspective and try to remove yourself a little bit. But this isn’t the first time the actor has shared his frustrations with the paparazzi. During an appearance on Hearttoheart in 2024, he opens up about how he often looks angry when he gets photographed and that he draws a line at any pictures of his children whom he shares with ex Jennifer Garner. First of all, I’m also a little bit shy. I also don’t like a lot of attention is why people see me and they’re like, “What’s this dude always mad? He’s always because when they because somebody has their camera and stick it in my face and I may be angry that you’re around my ch I don’t mind. You take my picture of my club or premiere, whatever. My wife, I don’t give a go ahead knock. I don’t notice you.” But with my children, that’s a different thing. [Music]

    1. Brittney drew the short straw. Her family used her as a cash cow. You can see the contempt her family has for her despite Brittney providing for the family since she was a kid. Until now, the food on their table is there because of Brittney. Brittney craves for love so much that she lets other people use her in an attempt to gain said love she never got from her family.

    3. I remember an article in the early noughties. Jennifer Lopez said exactly the same thing. Journalists take menial jobs movie sets, follow celebrities around, when they react, they call them prima donnas.
