As the Black Pink alum struted the fame steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art May 5th for the first time ever, fans were shocked to see Rosa Parks’s face seemingly embroidered into the bottom of her bodysuit. But during a look into her final fitting before the iconic gala, the White Lotus star made it clear that her form-fitting Louis Vuitton lace blazer and bodysuit designed by Fel Williams. The men’s creative director for the brand was inspired by artist Henry Taylor, who was also the artist behind Fel’s Vogue cover last month. It’s recreates an artwork by Henry Taylor. It’s crazy. And in a recent statement to Vulture, a representative for Henry set the record straight by adding that quote, “The figure featured in Lisa’s Louis Vuitton look is not Rosa Parks, but one of Henry’s neighbors.” The rep continues, quote, “The faces seen on this look, as well as on previous LV garments featuring Henry’s artwork, are all drawn from his personal life, family members, friends, and neighbors.” For his part, Farel, one of the co-chairs of the gala alongside ASAP Rocky, Coleman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, as well as Vogue editor Anna Wentur, walked her through her debut moment before reassuring her that she was going to turn heads no matter what.
