Bindi Irwin Misses Annual Steve Irwin Gala After Medical Emergency | E! News

Bindy Irwin suffers a medical emergency. While visiting Las Vegas to attend the annual Steve Irwin Gala, the daughter of the late crocodile hunter misses the fundraising event due to emergency surgery. with her younger brother, Robert Irwin, revealing to people May 10th that Bindy was suffering from a ruptured appendix, saying she came to Las Vegas and was ready to come to the gala, put on a brave face in a lot of discomfort and a lot of pain and said, “Nope, I’m just going to tough it out. I’m going to go for it.” He continues, “But the surgeon said, no, your appendix is going. That thing’s got to come out. Health has to come first. She’s going to be okay. But surgery, out of all the things we were ready for, that was not one of them. In addition to Bindy missing the gala, mom Terry Irwin also skips the annual fundraising event in honor of her late husband to be by her daughter’s side. As Robert shares how upset his mom and sister are to be missing the big night, explaining, “Bindie’s very sad. She’s devastated that she and mom can’t be here, but I know she’ll make a speedy recovery. Bindy, who’s been open about medical issues in the past, including her ongoing battle with endometriosis, has long been a champion for women’s health. with Robert reflecting on the 26-year-old’s past struggles as well as praising Bindy’s efforts to bring awareness, saying, “She’s just come out the other side of indometriosis, and now the appendix goes.” Health is so important. It really is. Bindy has become an incredible advocate for women’s health particularly, and I think it’s really important to prioritize getting help. [Music]
