Each month, we highlight local celebrities making headlines in Bergen and beyond. In this installment, we feature the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, the Jonas Brothers, Michigan Wolverines women’s basketball coach Kimberly Ann Barnes Arico and more.

    Blue’s Clues & You! executive producer and co-creator Angela C. Santomero [featured in the April 2020 issue of (201)] celebrated another award when the Nickelodeon program won the 2025 Children’s & Family Emmy Award for Outstanding Preschool Series.

    Jonas Brothers

    The Jonas Brothers [featured in the July 2008 issue of (201)] celebrated their 20th anniversary with JonasCon at American Dream. The fan convention featured performances by the Jonas Brothers, the All-American Rejects, Big Time Rush, and Boys Like Girls, as well as exclusive merchandise, themed drinks and snacks. The Wyckoff natives also announced a summer stadium tour which kicks off August 10 at MetLife Stadium.

    Yeah Yeah Yeahs

    Indie rock band Yeah Yeah Yeahs — fronted by Dwight-Englewood School graduate Karen O [featured in the March 2016 issue of (201)] — announced the Hidden in Pieces Tour, which kicks off in Manchester, England on June 16 and culminates in New York City on July 30.

    Kimberly Ann Barnes Arico

    In February, Michigan Wolverines women’s basketball coach Kimberly Ann Barnes Arico [featured in the November 2007 issue of (201)] secured her 279th victory at the school, making her Michagan’s all-time winningest basketball coach. She also led the team to its seventh straight NCAA Tournament appearance, where they lost to Notre Dame in the second round.

    Doug Edert

    Former Saint Peter’s standout Doug Edert returned to Bergen Catholic as the head coach of the BC JV basketball team. Edert led the Crusaders to a county championship and a perfect 25-0 record this season. He is also a part of the varsity coaching staff that helped lead BC to the 2025 Non-Public A state championship.

    Harlan Coben

    Award-winning Ridgewood author Harlan Coben [featured in the June 2015 issue of (201)] is back on Netflix. Caught is the author’s third adaptation to hit the streaming service this year and recently landed on Netflix’s Top 10 Shows list. The series follows a reporter in Argentina who has a knack for catching criminals who tend to evade justice. The story takes a turn when someone she meets becomes the prime suspect in her latest investigation.

He also writes monthly columns in (201) about local influencers and asks business owners to share their favorite things to do in Bergen County.
