“I had a lot of business meetings the next morning, but I still chose to cuddle with him the rest of the night,” she said
Meghan Markle opened up about a recent motherhood milestone.
In a new interview with Fast Company, published on May 27, the Duchess of Sussex revealed she got to act as the tooth fairy for the first time recently when her 6-year-old son, Prince Archie, lost his first tooth. Meghan, 43, left some money and a small dinosaur under his pillow, which Archie discovered in the middle of the night, waking his mom up at 2 a.m. to share his excitement.
“I had a lot of business meetings the next morning, but I still chose to cuddle with him the rest of the night,” Meghan told the outlet. “Those mom moments energize me to be a better founder, a better employer, a better boss.”
Meghan hinted that Archie’s first visit from the tooth fairy was around the corner during an April 23 appearance in New York City. While speaking on stage at the TIME100 Summit, the Duchess of Sussex said responsibilities surrounding her business ventures were just as important as family moments like her son’s loose tooth, adding he was going to lose it “this week.”
“[It’s] about to happen, and I just hope I’m back home in time for it!” the As ever founder told the crowd at Jazz at Lincoln Center.

In the debut episode of her new Lemonada Media podcast, Meghan said that working from home allows her to spend more time with son Prince Archie and daughter Princess Lilibet, who will turn 4 next week.
“We became moms in the pandemic, post-pandemic culture where there is so much working from home,” she explained. “I don’t leave the house to go to an office, my office is here.”
“Lili still naps, she gets picked up early and she naps, she only has a half day in preschool,” Meghan continued. “If she wakes up and she wants to find me, she knows where to find me, even if my door is closed to the office. She’ll be sitting there on my lap during one of these meetings with a grid of all the executives…I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
“I don’t want to miss those moments,” the Duchess of Sussex added. “I don’t want to miss pickup if I don’t have to. I don’t want to miss drop-off.”

A source recently told PEOPLE that Archie and Lili, as they called their daughter, are the center of Prince Harry and Meghan’s world in Montecito, California, creating what a source calls “their happy bubble.”
“The kids are adorable. They’re incredibly smart, articulate, and fun,” the insider said.
