Prince Harry and Meghan Markle celebrated their seventh wedding anniversary this month, and seem to be as loved up as ever. While the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who quit royal life in 2020 and moved to America, continue to put on united fronts wherever they go together, this doesn’t not seem to stop rumours of impending break-ups from looming.
Since they began to go their separate ways professionally, with Meghan focusing on her business ventures and Harry continuing his charity work, some royal fans have been convinced that not all is as happy as it seems for the couple behind closed doors. However, time and time again Harry, 40, and Meghan, 43, have shown this not to be the case, whether that be posting loved up photographs online or publicly showing displays of affection.
Now, one royal expert has said that is unlikely the couple, who live with their two children Prince Archie, six, and Princess Lilibet, three, in Montecito, will separate, as they are “dependent” on one another.
On The Sun’s Royal Exclusive show, editor-in-chief of Majesty Magazine Ingrid Seward also said that Harry wouldn’t leave Meghan as he would never want to leave his children.
She said: “I think that they are dependent on each other though. He wouldn’t leave the children.
“And in America, the rules about children, it’s they’re always with the mother, nearly always.
“So it’s not going to happen.”
She also said that Meghan and Harry seem to have defied the odds, with many people believing that they wouldn’t even reach five years of married life together. Seward said: “Do you remember when they got married, a lot of members actually of the royal family even said it won’t last five years. It’s lasted seven.”
As well as simply lasting, Meghan has also made comments recently that suggest the couple are still thriving together, with the duchess revealing that they are almost in a second honeymoon stage as a result of Meghan returning to similar work projects that she had on the go when she first met Harry in 2016.
When the pair met, Meghan had a blog called The Tig, and believes that her new brand As Ever is almost a return to what she was passionate about before marrying a royal.
She previously told People: “My husband met me when I had The Tig, and I see this spark in his eye when he sees me doing the thing that I was doing when he first met me.”
