While I may not be thrilled that my mother-in-law was going to sing and dance at my wedding, I would get over it.
Personally, as a former wife who was raised on the importance of family. I would never make my spouse choose between me and his parents. If I did not get along with his parents, I would still encourage him to have a relationship with them.
This, "I will always choose you…" is concerning.

I don't believe that at all!! Imo, someone wants to harm Victoria. Other guests from the wedding said Brooklyn and Nicola danced twice. The third one was the song by Marc Anthony, when Brooklyn danced with Victoria. And Nicola danced with her Dad.
I thought the issue was with the brother and HIS girlfriend who Brooklyn used to date…? .

I hope that when Brooklyn wants a relationship with his parents, it won't be too late. I look at people with parents who choose not to have relationships with them and shake my head. As a parent, i know we make mistakes, but no mistake can not be mended, especially if you are not a narcissist. I lost my dad 26 years ago and my mum last month, and even if i have a supportive and loving husband, i still cry for my parents.
I know the emptiness i feel.
Parents are irreplaceable, no matter who plays their role in your life, at least mine are totally IRREPLACEABLE! I had the best.
I will choose my mother over anybody, and i am glad i showed her how valued she was in her lifetime. If Nicola isn't disrespecting or cutting her mother off, does it mean her mother is perfect? The answer is no. So she shouldn't encourage Brooklyn to cut his mother or parents off. Looks unfair to me. Some of us don't have the best parents inlaw but that doesn't mean we encourage our spouse to cut their parents off because while you may not need them, they need them in their lives and that is what should be important.
