sabrina Carpenter is giving her short and sweet take on past drama four years after the pop star seemingly hit back at being referred to as the blonde girl in Olivia Rodrigo’s 2021 song Driver’s License Sabrina is now setting the record straight addressing whether the line maybe blonde was the only rhyme in her 2021 song Skin was aimed at the love triangle rumors surrounding her Olivia and Olivia’s ex Joshua Bassid telling Rolling Stone in an interview published June 12th i didn’t really intentionally do that all I knew was that it wasn’t going to stop me from doing what I loved ever that’s kind of how I’ve always felt sometimes it’s about how you were able to be resilient and when pressed on if the past relationship drama still weighs on her Sabrina cheekily responds “I don’t think about it ever i’ve tried being brunette and it didn’t look good on me so this is what it is.” As for Olivia who ended up winning a Grammy for the hit breakup ballad she’s previously made it clear she wouldn’t be adding to the drama by naming names telling Billboard in January 2021 “I totally understand people’s curiosity with the specifics of who the song’s about and what it’s about but to me that’s really the least important part of the song it’s resonating with people because of how emotional it is and I think everything else is not important [Music]
