Karen Read Speaks Out After Not Guilty Verdict | E! News

karen Reed is speaking out after the 45-year-old’s trial found her not guilty for the January 2022 death of boyfriend John O’Keefe Reed thanks her supporters for standing with her physically and emotionally over the last few years i just want to say two things number one is I could not be standing here without these amazing supporters who have supported me and my team financially and more importantly emotionally for almost four years and the second thing I want to say is no one has fought harder for justice for John O’Keefe than I have than I have and my team thank you on June 18th Reed was found not guilty on charges of seconddegree murder as well as motor vehicle manslaughter while driving under the influence and leaving the scene of a collision she was convicted of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of liquor for which she was served one-year probation days after the body of O’Keefe a 16-year veteran of the Boston Police Department was found in a snowbank outside of a home in the nearby suburb of Canton Reed was arrested and accused of drunkenly hitting the 46-year-old with her car before leaving him to die outside of a house in blizzard conditions the former financial analyst pleaded not guilty to the charges and her 2024 trial ultimately ended with a mistrial due to a hung jury for more updates on this story visit eonline.com [Music]
