Among the many images Meghan Markle shared from Lilibet’s 4th birthday trip to California’s Disneyland, one — of the Sussexes riding the new Tiana’s Bayou Adventure — recalled another memorable royal family moment that took place more than 30 years ago.
In 1993, a then 8-year-old Prince Harry, 11-year-old Prince William and their mother, the late Princess Diana — then separated from King Charles III — rode Splash Mountain at Walt Disney World in Florida.

“There’s no doubt in Harry’s mind that he’s giving his kids the life his mother would have wanted for them,” a source close to the Sussexes tells Star.
Diana, who tragically died at 36 in 1997, tried to create a sense of normalcy. “I remember the princess came into the kitchen one day and said… ‘We’re going to McDonald’s,’” royal chef Darren McGrady once told Marie Claire.

Darren added that he then offered to make the boys burgers but “she said, ‘No, it’s the toy they want.’”
Like Diana, “Harry’s happier adhering to his own rules,” says the source.
