Prince Harry and Meghan Markle surprised the world when they invited Hollywood couple George and Amal Clooney to their Windsor wedding. The pair were among the distinguished 600 at the couple’s illustrious Windsor Castle nuptials on May 19, 2018. Talking to Access Hollywood’s Scott Evans shortly after the wedding, in a lighthearted True or False interrogation, George playfully refrained from revealing Royal connections, quipping: “I can’t tell you that…I am not allowed to.”

Amal expressed their collective joy for the newlyweds: “We are really happy for the bride and groom. I think they are going to do great things in the world together.”, reports the Mirror.

However, it seems that as Harry’s relationship with his father King Charles remains estranged, George and Amal may have taken sides between the two families. They attended Buckingham Palace at a reception for the The King’s Trust Awards, and the pair were seen in warm conversation with the King.

It is unknown if the Clooneys still have a relationship with Harry and Meghan but bombshell book ‘Finding Freedom’ penned by Carolyn Durand and Omid Scobie shared an insight into Harry and Meghan’s relationship with the Clooneys several years ago. The explosive biography revealed how George and Amal Clooney became hosts to the Sussexes at their Sonning home in Oxfordshire, welcoming them not once but twice.

Details of the opulent refuge unfolded in the book: “There, they had a secluded decked area and inside was a lounge decorated with traditional club wood panelling, heavy drapes, dark velvets, plush chairs, and a bar.

“Meghan and Amal spent a lot of time relaxing by the pool and playing with the twins while George and Harry checked out George’s motorbike collection. Harry took one of them out with one of his protection officers. George recently had an accident, so he wasn’t back on his bike yet.”

The royals were part of an illustrious guest list that weekend, as “The Duke and Duchess weren’t the only guests that weekend. Eugenie and her fiance, Jack Brooksbank, were already at the villa when Harry and Meghan arrived, their visits overlapping briefly.”
