Prince Harold von Hoenzern of Germany has died of cardiac arrest in South Africa. His wife, Princess Joseph, who is expecting their first child in July, confirmed it on social media. He was 63 years old. Alongside several photos of the pair, she writes in an Instagram post June 25th, quote, “Dear fellow citizens of Landburgg, today I’m writing with a heavy heart. My beloved husband Harold died completely unexpectedly of a sudden cardiac death. This loss hits me very deep. According to Hello Magazine, Prince Harold suffered the fatal condition while in Namibia where he worked in the diamond industry. Meanwhile, Princess Joseph is currently running for reelection as mayor of Leonberg. According to the outlet, the royal couple got married in their hometown of Colberg last September after two years of dating. She continues in her statement, quote, I need time to grieve, say goodbye, and be there for our unborn child. That’s why I’ll be stepping back from campaigning and social media in the coming days. I hope for your understanding during this time off, and thank you from the bottom of my heart at this point for your condolences and support. [Music]
