Meghan Markle has been slammed by a royal expert for launching her As Ever wine on what would have beenPrincess Diana’s 64th birthday.

The Duchess of Sussex brought out a Napa Valley rosé on Tuesday, with the product selling out in less than an hour. While fans rushed to get their hands on a bottle, royal commentator Kinsey Schofield spoke out against the timing of the release.

“It’s not lost on Prince William that Meghan has launched an alcohol brand on his mother’s birthday, the very mum he lost in a drink driving tragedy,” a source claimed to Schofield.

The late Princess of Wales died on 31 August 1997 in a car crash in Paris. Dodi Fayed and their driver Henri Paul also died in the crash.

On the night of the crash, Henri was found to have a blood alcohol level significantly over the legal limit.

Another fan sent in their story, writing, “Had hubby on standby at 11 o’clock this morning to help with the purchase! LOL!

“Check out my record breaking checkout time! We mastered it this time around. DWL! Now we can’t wait to collect memories with these bubblies!”

Meghan loved the story and commented, “Love it! Well done, hubby,” over the top of the screenshot.
