Jennifer Aniston is set to play the mother in the upcoming Apple TV series I’m Glad My Mom Died based on Janette Mccert’s best-selling memoir. The show is a 10 episode dramdy adapting McCert’s 2022 memoir which chronicles her toxic codependent relationship with her narcissistic mother during her time as a child star on IC Carly and Sam and Cat. The book has sold over 300,000 copies in its first week and remained on the New York Times bestseller list for more than 80 weeks. Jennifer Aniston isn’t just starring, she is also an executive producer. This marks her second major collaboration with Apple TV after The Morning Show. At 56 years old, she will portray Deborah McCertie, the emotionally abusive mother who pushed Janette into fame. Janette Mccertie herself is intimately involved. She co-wrote and will co-show run the series alongside Ary Catcher.
