Kate Middleton has her first tiara moment since 2023, and she chose her favorite crown for the special occasion. The Princess of Wales wore a very regal red ensemble for the French State banquet held July 8th. Designed by Sarah Burton of Jivoni, the ruby toned gown marked a full circle moment for Kate since Sarah famously created the wedding dress for Prince William’s wife back in 2011 under Alexander McQueen. Completing the look were a series of high honors and sashes, visual reminders of Kate’s evolving senior role in the royal family. The event also marked the first time Kate has worn the royal family order of King Charles III. It was also the first time Kate has rocked a tiara since 2023. And for the occasion, the princess dawned Queen Mary’s lover’s knot tiara, a fave of her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana’s. Kate last sported a tiara, coincidentally the same one, at the 2023 diplomatic reception at Buckingham Palace. In fact, the stunning headpiece has become a frequent choice throughout her time as a royal with Kate wearing the crown a dozen times since 2015.
