The actress who rose to fame in Harriet the Spy and Buffy the Vampire Slayer and later had a memorable role on Gossip Girl died at the age of 39. The New York Police Department confirmed to E-News on February 26th. Now her boyfriend Jay Cohen is speaking out after her tragic passing. The talent agent shares a health milestone on Instagram July 10th. And in the comment section, one follower asks Cohen if he could talk about Michelle. In his first public remark about his late love, Jay kindly responds that the time isn’t right, saying, “One day soon. I’m very sorry.” And after another user criticized the initial follower for asking Jay to open up about such a personal topic, Jay replies, “Thank you. It’s okay. Comes from the right place. Michelle was loved by so many.” Tractenberg was found unconscious and unresponsive by emergency medical services in her New York City apartment on February 26th after police responded to a 911 call around 8:00 a.m. local time. Multiple sources told ABC News that her mother was the one to phone for help. Shortly after the officer’s arrival, EMS pronounced Tractenburgg dead. Two months after her passing, the New York City Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed to NBC News that her cause of death was due to complications from diabetes malitis and her manner of death was listed as natural. The office added that a review of laboratory test results led to the conclusion. [Music]
