Ritz Crackers Recalled After Potentially Deadly Mistake | E! News

Rich crackers are being recalled due to a potentially life-threatening error. According to the US Food and Drug Administration, Manderly Global LLC, which is the parent company of Ritz Crackers, is voluntarily recalling four carton sizes of Ritz Peanut Butter Cracker Sandwiches after an incorrectly printed label listed the product as quote cheese variety. Even though the product may include quote peanut butter variety, the FDA says people who quote have an allergy or severe sensitivity to peanuts may risk serious or life-threatening allergic reactions by consuming this product. The items, which were manufactured in the United States and sold nationwide, include the eight pack, 20 pack, and 40 pack cartons of Ritz peanut butter cracker sandwiches, as well as the 20 pack Ritzfield cracker sandwich variety pack. According to the company’s announcement, all the outer cartons affected are quote correctly labeled and provide an allergen advisory statement indicating that the product contains peanuts. However, the individually wrapped package inside the carton may have the incorrect verbiage. As of now, there have been no reported illnesses related to the product. No other Manderly Global LLC products are affected by the recall. [Music]
