Meghan Markle has used the launch of her lifestyle brand and Netflix show to reinvent herself into the “new Martha Stewart”, it has been claimed.
The Duchess of Sussex has previously voiced her proud stance as a feminist, but has now instead also become the ultimate homemaker with her lifestyle brand of pantry items, cookware and her Netflix cooking and lifestyle show With Love, Meghan.
With the launch and restock of As Ever selling out in a matter of hours, Meghan’s stance as the queen of home cooking and wholesome goodness has never been more clear. In fact the shift from working royal to family focused and wholesome kitchen guru has been noted by brand experts as a “reinvention”.

Jack Royston, Newsweek’s royal correspondent, said, “That was her big rebrand. All of a sudden, she went from being the feminist who got angry that women were depicted as only being in the kitchen and then she reinvented herself as the traditional, at-home, in-the-kitchen cooking and hosting kind of image.”
Meghan Markle’s Netflix series has seen her position herself as a ‘new Martha Stewart’
And according to the Daily Mail, brand culture expert Nick Ede shared, “With Love, Meghan, is Meghan being the new Martha Stewart.
“She loves home, she loves entertaining and she wants to show people how to elevate everyday situations by offering them lifestyle advice, showing them how to cook different meals and interviewing people that she finds interesting along the way.”
In previous appearances, Meghan has spoken out about feminism, including at the UN for UN Women. Speaking at a star-studded celebration in March 2015 for the 20th anniversary of the Beijing women’s conference, Meghan told the audience, “I am proud to be a woman and a feminist.”
Yet ten years later Meghan is now championing her efforts as a mom, being the perfect host and how to create delicious recipes from whole ingredients.
Her Netflix series, which was commissioned for a second series immediately after the first aired, received more than 2.6million views in its first week and formed part of her reported $100million, five-year deal with Netflix.

Last month the Duchess of Sussex restocked several items for the relaunch, including herbal teas, including hibiscus, peppermint, and lemon ginger, which cost $12. Also attended to the restock was a shortbread cookie mix with edible flower sprinkles and a home crepe kit, both costing $14. Alongside these were apricot and raspberry spreads and Meghan’s ‘signature’ flower sprinkles.
The brand has previously been described by Meghan as being “infused with joy, love, and a touch of whimsy.”
Meghan’s flower sprinkles have previously drawn attention, with the Duchess forced to address her use of them whilst at the Time100 summit in New York.
Speaking with Time CEO Jessica Sibley, Meghan explained, “Oh my gosh! You’d think I’m a little fairy tossing them around all the time…But, let’s talk about flower sprinkles, because I think it speaks to the tiny moments of joy that are so effortless and just create a little bit of magic that we’re all craving in our every day.”
