Candace Cameron Details “Really Rough Season” With Valeri Bure | E! News
Candace Cameron Beret is getting candid about marriage. On the Tuesday, July 8th episode of her podcast, Candace says, “Val and I went through a really, really rough season in our marriage, and we were like, I don’t know if this is going to we’re going to make it through.” But at one point, Lev preached like a 45minute sermon on marriage to us. Just had his Bible open on the couch and just talked about it. Lev is the Full House Star’s now 25-year-old son. He joined the family business beret family wines while attending school at Liberty University and in 2022 graduated with a degree in biblical and theological studies. And I’ll never forget because he said, you know, I know I haven’t been married and I’m just a young kid and so it’s probably hard to take marriage advice from someone this young, never experienced it before, but I don’t need to be married to know what the word of God says. Wow. He was just such a calm voice that had so much wisdom behind it. And it was like I mean we walked away from that and you know Val and I were like, “Huh? We we raised some pretty good kids. Come on, Candace and Valeri were grown adults who believed in god their whole lives and were clearly against divorce (they'd made family values a central theme for years). Were they really so incapable of avoiding divorce that their own teenage son had to counsel them with a bible? If you've spent 30 years with someone, it seems like divorcing over a short rough patch is a very stupid idea and I imagine grown christian adults like Candace and Valeri should've been able to deal with it themselves, considering their own son fixed the problem with a little generic pep talk lol.
