Jojo Siwa is seemingly shaded by singer Kim KS. After Jojo Siwa released a cover of her 1981 hit Betty Davis Eyes, the Grammy winner seemingly expressed her distaste for the rendition in a cryptic message. In a July 9th Tik Tok, which has since been deleted, Kim shared a clip of her music video for Betty Davis Eyes in which she wears a black pants suit with matching sunglasses while she performs in an empty warehouse room. And alongside the throwback video, the 79year-old included a message about what constitutes a quality singing performance. Kim wrote in the comments, “There is a difference between singing a song and embodying it. I’ve always believed authenticity is what makes music timeless.” She added, “I’m forever grateful to be the voice behind this one. Betty Davis Eyes.” And while Kim hasn’t publicly addressed whether she intended to just Jojo, her comments arrived just two days after the dance mom’s alum shared a teaser clip of her singing Betty Davis Eyes, which quickly went viral. In the video posted to Tik Tok July 7th, Jojo evoked the movie legend by rocking a short curly bob while singing. [Music] Jesus. [Music]

Jojo Siwa = 🤡
Siwas version started off ok but she should have just to that pitch. A cover you can make your own. Not mimic it poorly. The first few seconds were nice. The forced raspiness and nasally vocals seem so un natural for her. Youtube "like a version" where many artists cover songs in their own style and they make for some banging tunes.

Actually Kim isn’t Authentic with this song either, just changed it with her style and voice. The original singer is Donna Weiss

I'm not saying JoJo song is good because it's not way too much auto-tune but the original singer sounded way more raspy then Jojo and people are picking on the raspiness of her voice. Goodness gracious for an older woman to pick on a young artist. Pathetic.

I think both of the girls sound the same.
The difference is Kim’s song was original, jojo doesn’t have a true identity. Child start just screaming for attention and validation is sad and so common.
Get over it Kim! Let the new artists learn. It wasn't your original song either.
Fun fact: Bette Davis, the greatest actress of the Golden Age of Hollywood, congratulated Kim Carnes and the songwriters after winning a Grammy for Song of the Year.
