Speculations of reconciliation between Prince Harry and King Charles rose after senior aides to both were pictured secretly meeting in London. This is the first time in many years that a channel of communication is seen between the two. The meeting was held at the Royal Over-Seas League near Clarence House.
As per a report by The Mail, Meredith Maines, the duke’s chief communications officer, and Liam Maguire, who runs Harry and Meghan’s UK public relations team, were pictured meeting with Tobyn Andreae, the King’s communications secretary were captured meeting.
A source was quoted by The Mail as saying, “everyone just wants to move on and move forward now. It was finally the right time for the two sides to talk.”
Reports further suggest that there was ‘formal agenda’ to the meeting, but both parties had things to discuss.
Notably, relations between the King and his second son deteriorated significantly following the 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey, in which Harry and Meghan claimed that a member of the Royal Family had expressed concern about the colour of their son Archie’s skin before his birth.

Controversy was sparked after the duke claimed that his elder brother, the Prince of Wales, Prince William, had physically attacked him and that the King put his own interests above Harry’s and was jealous of Meghan.
It is to be noted that weeks ago Prince Harry told the BBC that the door to improve terms remains open. “I would love reconciliation with my family. There’s no point in continuing to fight anymore,” he said.
