‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’: Cast, Release Date & Everything We Know So Far

The Devil Wears Prod 2 is officially in production, and Access Hollywood has rounded up everything you need to know about the stylish sequel. First of all, all of your favorites from the 2006 Colt Classic are back on the call sheet. On June 30th, it was announced that Meyer Street, Anne Hathaway, Stanley Tucci, and Emily Blunt would all be reprising their roles. There’s also some new faces joining the highly anticipated film. Variety reported on July 9th that Lucy Louu, Justin Thorough, BJ Novak, and Pauline Shalamé are set to join the fictional world of fashion. It’s also rumored that Bridget and star Simone Ashley might have a role as well, according to Deadline, but we’ll let you know if that news is confirmed. Hopefully, they can all spell Gabbana. Notably, Entertainment Weekly reports that Adrien Gineier, who played Anne Hathaway’s character, Andy’s boyfriend, will not be returning for the sequel. Hopefully, he’s somewhere far away enjoying a very expensive grilled cheese alone. On the creative side, director David Frankle and screenwriter Alen Braj McKenna will once again be at the helm. Lauren Weisberger, the author of the novel the original movie was based on, did write a sequel, but it’s unclear how closely this new film will follow that book? And most importantly, when will fans be able to watch it? The Devil Wears Prada 2 is currently set to be released in theaters May 1st, 2026. And yes, that is the Friday before Vogue hosts the biggest night in fashion, the Met Gala. So get your Chanel boots and ceruan sweaters ready for a very stylish weekend. [Music]

This… “unoriginal sequel stuffs”? Oh, okay. I see. You think this has nothing to do with you.
You… go to your movie library, and you select… I don’t know, that movie about fashion” , for instance, because you’re trying to tell the world that you take yourself too seriously to care about what you watch, but what you don’t know is that that movie is not just good, it’s not fine, it’s not wonderful, it’s actually an excellent piece of classic..
You’re also blithely unaware of the fact that, in early noughties many movies done a string of sequels, and then I think it was Harry Potter, wasn’t it?…who had six or more sequels and prequels. (I think we need a to watch them later). And then sequels quickly happened in eight different movies. Then after it had run it course at the theatre, it filtered down through the DVD racks and then trickled on down into some tragic streaming services where you, no doubt, fished it out of some “movie of the day’ promo.
However, that sequel represents millions of dollars of countless jobs, and it’s sort of comical how you think that you’ve made a choice that exempts you from the industry when, in fact, you will be watching whatever that was made for you by the people in the first movie… making a bunch of “unoriginal sequel stuffs.”
