Harry Potter Series First Look Revealed by HBO | E! News

The journey back to Hogwarts begins now. Production has started on the HBO original Harry Potter television series, which is set to premiere on HBO and HBO Max in 2027. And a first look behind the scenes has been revealed. In a brand new photo, fans can see Dominic Mccclaclin, whose casting was announced in May, dressed in character for the titular role in Harry’s signature glasses, robe, and hairstyle. Child Actor will be joined by fellow previously announced newcomers Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger and Alistair Stout as Ron Weasley. The July 14th announcement included more casting news, including the addition of Rory Wilmet as fellow Gryffindor Neville Longbottom and Amos Kitson as Harry’s muggle cousin Dudley Dersley. They also shared more of the adult actors who will round out the cast, including Sherlock’s Louise Breley will play flying instructor Madame Rolanda Hooch and Andrew’s Anton Lester will play expert wand maker Garrick Ollivander. The series’s executive producers have previously shared their enthusiasm regarding the casting of Hogwarts’s most iconic trio. Executive producers Francesca Gardner and Mark Miloid shared in a statement as part of the network’s May 27th press release, “The talent of these three unique actors is wonderful to behold, and we cannot wait for the world to witness their magic together on screen. We would like to thank all the tens of thousands of children who auditioned. It’s been a real pleasure to discover the plethora of young talent out there. [Music]
