Watch Kelly Clarkson’s apology for canceling Vegas shows: ‘We can’t help our bodies’
Took us a minute. Took me a minute. Man, I’m so sorry. Something y’all had last weekend shows. I’m so sorry. Um, we can’t help our bodies sometimes, you know, if we get sicker and that happens. Kelly Clarkson made her triumphant return to Vegas. And Tik Tocker Sammy Yas was there to capture her emotional apology for bowing out of the opening night shows. In a previous Instagram statement, she blamed vocal strain for cancing the July 4th performance just minutes before Showtime. The last minute decision angered some fans who traveled long and far to see Kelly’s Las Vegas residency. And a few ticket holders are apparently still upset, commenting on the viral Tik Tok clip, “I was there July 4th and you guys are lucky and we’re not.” Soon after the cancellation, sources in the no told Page Six that the singer/talk show host has been struggling with hidden battles. She belts out every single note. She’s an incredibly powerful singer, but it takes its toll on her vocal cords, and she’s come incredibly close to needing surgery before. A second source noted that Kelly has an insanely complicated personal life following her divorce from Brandon Blackstock. But on stage, Kelly put on a brave face, telling the crowd of adoring fans that this is her favorite residency and the favorite show she’s ever put together. Kelly Clarkson’s studio sessions runs through November 15th at the Coliseum at Caesar’s Palace.
