Wimbledon is not just a tennis match — it’s a fashion statement! And one that the royal kids have gotten a chance to participate in throughout the years. Unlike many other royal events, going to the Wimbledon Tennis Championships is more about fun, where the kids get to cheer on the competitors and greet the winners at the end. This creates a prime opportunity for photos of them in the Royal Box, showing off their royal style.
Kate Middleton has long been a fan of tennis and is the patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, where the Wimbledon Tennis Championships are held every summer. In fact, she’s gone to every match in the Royal Box at Wimbledon since 2011 — except for one in 2013 when she was pregnant with Prince George, now 11. “The doctor said definitely not,” the Princess of Wales revealed in a documentary for BBC One, per Today, adding that she was “very heavily pregnant” at the time.

Afterward, she told champion Andy Murray afterward “saying sorry for not being there.” (BTW, she gave birth to her firstborn just 15 days after that match!)
Over the last four years, the Princess of Wales has attended the tennis match with her kids Prince George and Princess Charlotte, 10, who she shares with husband Prince William. So far, they’ve seemed to have a great time at the events, which they’ve attended together and separately over the years. The youngest Wales, Prince Louis, 7, has so far not made his Wimbledon debut, but we bet he will soon!
Long before Middleton married Prince William, the British royal family has attended Wimbledon sporadically throughout the years. This includes the late Queen Elizabeth II and the current King Charles III. When he was just a child, Prince William attended Wimbledon with his mom, the late Princess Diana. It’s a royal tradition!

Prince George and Princess Charlotte attended Day 14 of Wimbledon with their parents on July 13, 2025. Prince George wore a navy blue suit with a light blue shirt underneath and a striped tie, while Charlotte had a white dress with black-ruffled trim. She even had her nails painted a bright pink! They looked all grown up in pictures from the event, as they watched the game intently.

Even though Prince Louis, 7, didn’t attend Wimbledon, he wasn’t left out. Champion Jannik Sinner signed a tennis ball for Louis and his older siblings after he won the match against Carlos Alcaraz. In a video of the moment, Charlotte presented the three balls for signature, and Middleton said, “Thank you so much, that’s really kind.” She added, “We brought one for their brother as well.”
“Louis would be very upset otherwise,” Prince William said.
