Tara Lipinski Details 2-Year-Old Daughter Georgie’s Emotional Skating Debut | E! News
It has been really special for me, especially at this young age, just to be able to take her to my special place and just the very first time I took her on the ice to see my two worlds collide. For me, it looks very different than it used to look. And that is good because it’s a lot of work, but it’s definitely physically easier. season starts in probably September and Johnny and I start commentating all of the Grand Prix events that lead up to the Olympics and the qualifying events and we do a ton of research. We’re watching these skaters all summer long as they build their programs for the Olympic year and then as they compete throughout the season. And so it’s just notes on notes on notes. I think Georgie needs to to definitely find what is going to make her most happy and find her thing. But it has been really special for me, especially at this young age, just to be able to take her to my special place. And just the very first time I took her on the ice to see my two worlds collide uh was it was the best feeling. I feel like I got teeyed. I was like, why am I so emotional? But it um it’s really fun. And she says skating, mommy. So she she likes it right now. really excited to see Team USA at this next Olympics because I feel that they haven’t been this strong in years and decades really in every discipline. The American skaters are very strong and prepared this season and primed to be on that podium and not maybe just be on that podium, but the US could take home several gold medals. So, sleep has always been important to me. Obviously, back in my athletic days, it was essential training long hours and being on that rink all day long. When I finally got to rest, it was so important to my recovery and to my craft. And it’s so incredibly important to athletes, especially when they are elite Olympic athletes. So, I think for me, it’s really exciting to be partnering with a company like Sappa and all that they are doing for these athletes. And I know that they’re going to be providing betting to team USA for the Milan Olympics in 2026. And then they’re partnering uh with LA 2028. And that is going to be so exciting because all of the athletes in the village are going to sleep on Sata mattresses. [Music]
