Wimbledon wouldn’t be Wimbledon without a few royals in the crowd. The tournament has long been a favourite tradition among the monarchy, with Queen Elizabeth II having first attended as reigning monarch in 1957. At the time, she famously presented the trophy to Althea Gibson.
Over the years, the Princess of Wales has earned the title of being a regular attendee at the event – both as a fan and now in her official capacity as patron of the All England Lawn Tennis Club. She has rarely missed a tournament since her marriage to Prince William in 2011. King Charles, on the other hand, is a much rarer sight, last attending in 2012, with only one other appearance way back in 1970.
Still, the annual championships remain a prime time for various members of the royal family to make a polished appearance. Whether seated in the exclusive Royal Box — a VIP section that dates back to 1922 and hosts everyone from foreign dignitaries to tennis legends — or showing up as guests of luxe brands like Rolex, Range Rover and Ralph Lauren, the royals always find a way to sit in style court-side.
Below, see a running list of every royal who made it to Centre Court for Wimbledon 2025.
