Nearly three decades after Happy Gilmore first hit The Green, Adam Sandler and Julie Julie Bowen have reunited for a sequel. And as you’re about to see, they have some pretty major co-stars. My name is Happy Gilmore. 30 years ago, I decided to give golf a try. But even when you’re at the top of your game, you can always shank one. When was the moment that you knew, okay, let’s do this. I’m ready to pull the trigger. Happy more happening? That’s a good question. It was 29 years of not getting a text back and I was like, if I text with some dollar signs, this girl will call me back. And there he goes. That is so not true. Two years ago, we started saying, it might be funny if you you saw Happy Gilmore now. And life’s not going beautiful for you. Have some new faces like you mentioned, Travis, Kelsey, Bad Buddy. What really impressed you about them and their acting skills on set? I wasn’t surprised because Juicy Bad Bunny on SNL is phenomenal. And Travis on SNL. Travis great. I saw him at a a party and I was like, “Dude, you were incredible.” And same thing with Benito. You look great. Adam, I know you mentioned before that you and your family are big Taylor Swift fans. Did you make any visits to set? Oh, no. No. She Travis, right? I think so. And Travis just came from a football game. I think he had a game on Sunday and he was on our set on Monday and showed up with bruises on his back and he just was cooling up. Gave us a couple of days of greatness and then got back to life. I love to see Julie how close your Modern Family casts are. So, what was the last reunion like? Oh, it’s been hard to get us all in the same place at once, but we have a text chain that is hilarious. It’ll suddenly be somebody talking about I’m making meat and there’ll be a picture of meat on a grill. We’re marinating and there will be this series of comments that pulled off of it and for two days we just talking about meat. Truly the best show. My daughters never stop watching that show. Watch watch it daily still. Speaking of your daughters, they’re in the film and they’re so talented. I’m so blown away by them. What’s it like to not only work with them but in a classic that like how Oh my god, you’re just relieved once they do it well. Nothing feels better. I don’t even know if you’re happy. You’re just like, “Oh, good.” It’s just so much relief. [Music]
