Pedro Pascal and Vanessa Kirby on Being Married in ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’ #fantasticfour

How did you and Vanessa Kirby build that chemistry to portray Marvel’s most iconic couple? Vanessa got in touch with me before we started shooting and actually she was very intentional and inspirational really in characters as they were in love, married and um preparing to be parents. She was my leader in that sense. She’s an incredible inspiration to me and she really led the way in terms of us really kind of like giving you a marriage story really. He had said that it was very much led by you. Oh, bless him. I mean, no, it was a mutual thing. We did a lot of work before the movie. We got to know each other really well. That was magic. Shared a lot of songs, voice notes. We were very close before we started. And we needed that because, you know, you read the comics. And these two have been in love since 1961, pulling out, getting back together, being always inseparable. And we wanted to honor that core relationship in the Marvel cannon and really try and get it right. And it mattered so much to us. I don’t know if we’ve achieved it, but it really mattered.
