Record-breaking skydiver Felix Bumgardner is dead at 56 years old. The fearless sportsman is known for his iconic stunts, including his freef fall from space, where he jumped to Earth from the stratosphere back in 2012. I almost weigh twice the weight that I normally have and it’s very difficult to do a perfect exit. Felix landed in New Mexico as part of the Red Bull Stratos project. According to the Associated Press, the Daredevil died on July 17th in a paragliding accident in Italy with local officials saying he crashed into the side of a hotel pool. On Instagram, Red Bull released a statement of their grief that reads, “We are shocked and overwhelmed with sadness to hear the devastating news of our longtime friend, Felix Bumgardner. Felix was born to fly and was determined to push the limits. He was also smart, professional, thorough, and meticulous, never leaving anything to chance. He was generous, giving much of his time to helping and inspiring so many people. [Music]

Well he made it to an older age considering the sport
Sorry to hear that. RIP
While this man was amazing and I sympathize with his whole family. I have to also consider how traumatic this scene would have been for the innocent bystanders and first responders who had to witness such a catastrophic accident. These daredevil types may be brave themselves but not everyone wishes to be subjected to such risky behaviors and the consequences of such. We forget our behaviors impact all of those around us.
