The Devil Wears Prada 2 is making groundbreaking headway. In fact, the first look photo of Anne Hathaway reprising her role as Andy Saxs has been revealed and the photos provide some insight into what fans might be able to expect from the sequel. In one image taken from set and rocked a stylish pattern max dress with a tan bucket hat while she crossed a New York City street and spoke on the phone. And the snap doesn’t only prove that her character has taken her hot couture education from the 2006 movie with her into the future. After all, in addition to her phone, Anne held on to a Fendi basket 48 tote bag, rolling suitcase, and a hanger bag that read runway, possibly hinting that the journalist has returned to work for the fictional magazine. As for what else was notable about the pics, Anne’s costume for the shoot didn’t include a ring on that finger, possibly revealing that she won’t be married for the follow-up. And while the photo certainly gave fans a lot to think about, it wasn’t the only glimpse at Anne’s wardrobe for the movie, which will also star original cast members Meyer Street, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci. In another snap shared from set and showed off a second look for her character, which included a pinstriped sleeveless vest with matching pants and black closed toe boots. Of course, since the sequel was confirmed earlier this year, several other details about the film have been shared. for when several newcomers will be joining the cast, including Kenneth Bronna, who will play the husband of Meil Shri’s Miranda Priestley character. Plus, the plot of the new installment has also been uncovered, according to a press release from 20th Century Studios. The story will follow Miranda as she struggles with the decline of traditional magazine publishing. Meanwhile, she’s also facing off with her former assistant, Emily Charlton, played by Emily Blunt, who is now a high-powered executive at a luxury advertising company. But will the two fashionistas be able to find common ground? Fans will have to wait and see. After all, Emily is staying tight-lipped on the matter. She teased to Entertainment Tonight in June.
