Lindsay Lohan Reveals the Hilarious Way Her Son Luai, 2, Mocks Her (Exclusive)

Lindsay Lohen and Jam Lee Curtis have reunited for their much anticipated Freakier Friday. And we spoke with the ladies about the sequel, Motherhood, and so much more. What is happening? Okay, it’s me. It’s mom. If you’re me and I’m you, then who’s that? I’m Grandma, sweetheart. Yeah. Fans really wanted this movie to happen for a long time. Did that present some pressure? I think it put pressure on what the script was going to be. We had to have a four-way switch, but how did that work? And how is it not like other movies? What was it like for you having to play like play like a full adult in your body? Playing a character that so many people have looked up to for so long was was a lot of pressure, but me and Lindsay talked a lot about it and I felt very very safe to to play around. In the first one, your character like just doesn’t understand her mom. As now a mom, do you have like new empathy? Yeah, I’m not in that position with my son yet. He’s still a toddler. So he runs fast out of that house. He’s like outside gone. I have this thing where I’m like, “Luai, don’t do that.” And this morning before I was going to say it, he’s like, “Don’t do that, Lui.” And looked at me and I was like, “Oh my god, he’s mocking me. She thinks you’re cute.” I do not. Yes, she does. I do. She so does. Dr. Coleman. Oh my god. I’ve been waiting a long time to take some swings, but you have to be given material to take the swing. The freedom that that gives you is a little addictive. I’m curious for you. So, what was it like for you to play like an adult in your body? I think with my friends especially, I’m kind of the mom or the therapist friend in the group. So, it was great to lean into that. This wasn’t a uh you know the first time that you and Lindsay had seen each other since doing the original. But what was it like to have that professional reunion? It doesn’t even feel like it was performing. Weirdly enough, her priorities have changed. Yes. So her main priority is her little boy. This is a new mom and all of the complications of a new mom. And so the priorities have changed, but the friendship hasn’t. I love them so much. And you can catch Freakier Friday in theaters on August 8th.
