She qualifies as a SINGLE MOTHER. I used to think people who do have another active parent around aren’t single parents, but someone had to educate me and let me know that’s not the case. As that person is alone when parenting for the majority of their parenting journey.

SHE IS A SINGLE MOM. A Single Mom is a Single Person who is a Mom. Just as a Single Dad is a Single Person who is a dad. Why do people swear that single mom means someone who was never married Or assumes the other parent is absent? Folks are Not that smart these days. YES, it means she's the primary parent who's there every day, which does not equate to being abandoned by the other parent who parents well with her.
ALSO, why do people leave out all the years the Couple were together before marriage? They were together over 20yrs. It was a serious relationship that led to marriage.

She's not a single mom. Corey has been in his kid's lives their whole lives and he has and will remain doing so. The only difference being their parent's have separate houses. And this is a good thing bcuz living together is what breaks marriages up to begin with.
So just because she is co parenting with ex (which applaud them both doing 👏🏾🤗) does change her current marital status which is recent divorce with a child which makes her single parent. Nor does it make ex her “baby daddy”🤔😒Good Lord , they are couple that just couldn’t make the relationship work and it happens🧐
