    1. Piers Morgan coming in at the end to confirm, as if we needed it, what an unbelievable bellend he really is.

He’s right! For all of their talks about democracy and how they forcefully try to enforce it in other countries, the US isn’t a democracy. It’s a place where gerrymandering remains supreme with how the GOP drew made up lines so their voters would have a bigger say. It’s a place where the electoral college decides things in the end despite the popular vote. Where corporations can decide elections due to how much money they pump into a candidate.

It’s not a democracy at all. So Ben, formerly of Ben and Jerry’s, is 100% correct here. And it’s disingenuous for Piers to bring up North Korea after this. What a muppet.

I live in a gerrymandered state and it hasn’t been a democracy for me for quite some time now, except on the extremely local level.

I think a lot of Americans don’t get how systematically muzzled and manipulated their vote has been over the past decades.

    4. If you think the USA isn’t a democracy just because you don’t like the results of your fellow citizens individual votes cast legally by free will, touch grass. Most of the world doesn’t have this privilege. As a Canadian seeing this vigorously downvoted is 😬 (I vote NDP knowing they’ll never win and it’s still a democracy).

We have two parties and no other options, hasn’t been a democracy the entire time. Civil rights wasn’t even a lifetime ago

      It is not.

In a democracy you’ll never see a presidential candidate get more votes and lose.
