Meghan Markle is planning a “ruthless” strategy to regain favour with the UK public and will use her ‘trump card’, a royal expert has claimed.
Prince Harry is scheduled to host the Invictus Games in Birmingham in July 2027, and it’s anticipated that Meghan Markle will be there to support her spouse.
The Duchess of Sussex’s standing in the UK has taken a hit over recent years, particularly following the couple’s decision to step back from their Royal duties. The pair now live in California with their two children, six year old Prince Archie and four year old Princess Lilibet.
Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams believes that Megan has got a plan up her sleeve to win back the UK public approval. He told the Express: “She will, of course, be expected to attend in Birmingham, not to do so would be a public humiliation.”
Regarding Meghan’s likely presence at the Invictus Games, he continued: “However, the Invictus Games is Meghan’s trump cards and she is likely to play it ruthlessly. This involves approving moves towards ‘reconciliation’.”

In light of Harry’s recent revelation about his strained relationship with his father, Fitzwilliams speculated on Meghan’s potential appearance, stating: “Meghan will calculate that this could lead to useful PR in Birmingham which she rather obviously needs.”
This comes after recent sightings of the King’s Communications Secretary and Harry’s new US-based PR chief socialising on a club terrace.
A photograph obtained by the Mail on Sunday from the meeting has ignited rumours of potential “peace talks” between the King and his youngest son. The gathering was reportedly endorsed by both parties, including Meghan.
Mr Fitzwilliams concluded: “However, the so called ‘secret meeting’ between King Charles’ Communications Secretary and two of the Sussexes’ most senior aides obviously occurred with her full backing. We do not know who leaked it to the press.”

The rendezvous between the King and Harry’s representatives was characterised as an “informal drink” rather than a formal negotiation, following speculation that Harry and Meghan Markle were responsible for leaking details of the meeting.
However, just the other day it came to light that Prince Harry is anxious that his brother William will exile him from the UK once he becomes King.
Despite the recent meeting between the Sussexes’ aides and King Charles’ communication chief, which sparked hopes of a reconciliation, Bower believes that the father-son duo still has a long way to go in mending their relationship, Royal expert Tom Bower has claimed.
