Real Ways Criminals Escaped Prison

These are three real ways people escaped prison. First is Richard McNair. Every day, McNair repaired torn mailbags as part of his prison job. But while the guards weren’t looking, McNair secretly built himself an escape pod out of an old shipping pallet stacked with bags. On the day of the escape, McNair climbed inside and waited. At exactly 9:45 a.m., the pallet rolled out of the prison with McNair inside. 2 hours later, he popped out. By the time the guards realized he was gone, it was 400 p.m. Next, Ted Bundy, who carved a hole in the ceiling of his cell using nothing but a spoon. Once the hole was big enough, he stacked some law books under the blanket to make it look like he was still sleeping. Then crawled into the air ducts and dropped down into the guard’s living quarters. There, he changed into civilian clothes and walked right out the front door. What’s crazy is he made it all the way to Florida before getting caught 2 months later. But even that isn’t as crazy as Casey White’s escape. Casey left jail with Officer Vicki, who claimed she was taking him to court. Little did the police know the two were actually lovers and there was no court date. The two of them went on the run for 11 days before being caught.
