I know that recently we’ve seen a lot of celebrities and politicians who remained silent for two years finally saying something (even if what they’re saying still has a twinge of Israeli talking points). But I just want to say that Son has talked about supporting Palestine before, so this isn’t new. I love that he’s still doing this. Not enough to ever cheer for the Spurs, but close.

    3. hi everyone, i’ve translated unicef’s subtitles from korean to english. it is a rough translation as i’m not sure how accurate (translating can be tricky for obvious reasons) their translation of the 3 palestinians in this video is, but i’ve translated based on what the UN subtitled:

      – son says, “in palestine, there are many families and children suffering from extreme hunger.”

      – palestinian woman: “i have nothing to eat. i have no money. i get bread from my neighbors. you cannot live without food, i need food”

      – 2nd palestinian woman: “just to get crumbs of bread, kids will go around the tents asking for food”

      – palestinian man: “we want to go where there is help, but if we faint on our way there, we cannot get up again”

      – son: “as a WFP ambassador, i am working with them to try and fight world hunger. for many families, WFP food assistance is a lifeline. in places where hunger is most severe, a warm meal can save lives. please donate now”

    4. The edit: Koreans have always supported Palestine and recognize its sovereignty, and that’s SLAY.

    5. It isn’t easy being a Spurs fan all the time, but these are the moments that matter most
