Pause. Pause. Pause. Stop right there. Notice this is You’re going to love this. There. Voila. The GF1. One of my favorite weapons in film history. So, the first thing he’s going to demonstrate is that the bullets all go to the same location. And he’s actually firing a blank firing weapon. See the black spot? Yeah. That is the ejection for a blank firing AK-47’s ejection port. Oh, no kidding. And it’s just a big hole that shows up for this shot and you never see it again. Look, that’s the magazine of the AK-47 sticking out down here. Wow. And you can see it. You can see the corner of it sticking out. It’s Yep. And they built a full AK-47 blank firing weapon into this thing. And the very first shot is a visual effects shot. I feel like they filmed that and then digitally just crunched it. The front and the tail there, it gets kind of like digitally wiped in, right? It reminds me of that shot from Lost in Space when Joey from Friends turns around and the helmet comes over. How you doing, Joey from Friends? I know. Not the vlog. That’s his name. That’s his name. Oldman did say this was the most fun day on set. My favorite.

Dude, Iron Man totally used Lost In Space as inspiration. That movie looked interesting for its time. The big bad was terrifying.

In Australia, we have a tv channel that plays Fifth Element 5 times in a row on May 5th – unfortunately I don’t remember off the top of my head what time they start the marathon, but May 5th is about the only time I watch the movie and I still don’t think I’ve watched the whole thing 😂

Fun fact: the flamethrower for this gun wasn't CGI. It was real. Oldman nearly burned down the set lol
Fifth Element is my favourite movie of all time. I don't think there are any flaws in it.
