    1. One of my favourite romance movies! Beautiful costumes, heartfelt, and genuinely funny in some parts. I also liked how Danielle is never really a damsel-in-distress, and Melanie Lynskey as her stepsister was a great performance!

    2. Obsessed with that dress as a kid. I cobbled together a version of it for Halloween one year.

Just re-watched because it’s currently ✨ free ✨ on YouTube (with ads). So good.

    4. This movie was like one of three movies that my mom used to have playing while she sewed. I curled up on the floor to watch it so many times ❤️

I was obsessed with this movie! I was working in a movie theater when it came out and I would sneak in to watch parts during my breaks.

The next year I was in college and got the flu around finals. I spent a week trying to study and get to each test and in between I would just collapse in bed and watch this on repeat in my dorm room.

I haven’t watched it in years but this has inspired me!

    6. A comfort movie for me for sure; love watching it in the summer, it’s so gorgeous.

My favorite movie dress of all time. I have always wanted to try and recreate the look for Halloween.

my friends know I’m Going Through It when I say I’ve been watching this film a lot 🙂

Joking aside, I recommend visiting the filming locations, most of them are in the Dordogne region of France and it’s just beautiful there. You can visit most of the castles, including the main royal palace in the film, Château de Hautefort. It has a very pretty garden! You can also stay in Chateau La Roussie, the de Barbarac manor (or so I’ve heard)

      I love this film!

I’m walking down the aisle to the main theme at my wedding next year lol
